libmp4v2-dev software package provides library to read, create, and modify mp4 files (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmp4v2-dev
libmp4v2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmp4v2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmp4v2-dev *
You will get with libmp4v2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
